About Vanessa Trien:
Have you ever made animal sounds with your kids, imagined climbing into a bubble, hated to have your
playdates come to an end? Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys have, and their genuine appre-
ciation of the quirkiness of everyday routines comes through loud and clear. These talented musicians
find something to celebrate in their original songs—whether it’s anthropomorphizing a yo-yo or interpret-
ing a baby’s language (Mama Dada Blues). Vanessa is a talented and warm observer of how her children
play, respond and communicate. The Jumping Monkeys (Adam, Paul, Julie and Dave) are savvy per-
formers who understand how to deliver these finely tuned lyrical fun loving messages.
About Philip Alexander:
Sing, Play, Grow! is the web site for Philip Alexander, a professional children’s musician and storyteller, based
in the Boston area. Philip performs his original music at shows all over New England: school programs, birthday parties, and family concerts at public libraries and festivals. Under the Sing, Play, Grow! banner, Philip leads weekly early
childhood music classes in Brookline on Mondays and Wednesdays.
