Event Description

Come dance and sing at the Seventh Annual Family Concert starring the sensational music of celebrity children's musicians Vanessa Trien (Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys) and Philip Alexander (Philip Alexander and the Family Band), partnered together at this fantastic performance for children of all ages. Both Vanessa and Phillip perform at shows throughout New England, and they teach educational music programs for children. Vanessa and Philip and the band will give us a shoe stomping, hand clapping show that is sure to be a rollicking good time for everyone. Bring your family and your friends and join us for a morning of quality family fun!

About Vanessa Trien:

Have you ever made animal sounds with your kids, imagined climbing into a bubble, hated to have your playdates come to an end? Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys have, and their genuine appreciation of the quirkiness of everyday routines comes through loud and clear. These talented musicians
find something to celebrate in their original songs—whether it’s anthropomorphizing a yo-yo or interpreting a baby’s language (Mama Dada Blues). Vanessa is a talented and warm observer of how her children
play, respond and communicate. The Jumping Monkeys (Adam, Paul, Julie and Dave) are savvy performers who understand how to deliver these finely tuned lyrical fun loving messages.

About Philip Alexander:

Sing, Play, Grow! (www.singplaygrow.com) is what Philip is all about. Philip Alexander is a professional children’s musician and storyteller, based in the Boston area. Philip performs his original music at shows all over New England: school programs, birthday parties, and family concerts at public libraries and festivals. Under the Sing, Play, Grow! banner, Philip leads weekly early childhood music classes in Brookline on Mondays and Wednesdays.
